Congratulations on your offer of admission for graduate study from App State! What's next? Here is some important information and steps you will need to take.
1. Confirm Your Attendance
You must confirm your attendance to begin the enrollment process. To accept your offer, log into your application status page and indicate your acceptance at the bottom of the page.
2. Verify Username & Banner ID
Once you have received your App State credentials, log into AppalNet and check your email to receive your username and Banner ID. Set your password by using the Password Manager.
3. Register for Classes
Register for classes through AppalNet after you contact your program director for guidance in course selection. Follow this registration tutorial for step-by-step instructions.
4. Pick Up AppCard
If you are an on-campus student, pick up your AppCard through the AppCard Office. The AppCard serves as your campus photo ID card. You'll use it for food purchases, health services, library resources, and more. App State alumni may continue using their existing AppCard. If you are an online student, you may purchase an AppCard if you wish, but this is not required. Learn more about replacement AppCards.
5. Register for Parking Permit
Once you are registered for classes, you may register for a parking permit through Parking and Transportation if you need to park a car on campus.
6. Complete Health Forms
Complete your health forms and show proof of insurance through Student Health Services. Online and off-campus students may opt-in to student health services for an additional fee. Contact Student Accounts for more information.
Note: If you need to postpone your enrollment, please notify both the Graduate School and your program. If you do not register or request a deferral during the first 10 days of classes, your admission will be canceled and you will have to start the application process again.
Orientation
New graduate student orientations provide new students with the opportunity to connect with campus support services and resources, along with Graduate School staff, to help them get a successful start!
