Admitted Students

Congratulations on your offer of admission for graduate study from App State! What's next? Here is some important information and steps you will need to take.

1. Confirm Your Attendance

You must confirm your attendance to begin the enrollment process. To accept your offer, log into your application status page and indicate your acceptance at the bottom of the page.

2. Verify Username & Banner ID

Once you have received your App State credentials, log into AppalNet and check your email to receive your username and Banner ID. Set your password by using the Password Manager

3. Register for Classes

Register for classes through AppalNet after you contact your program director for guidance in course selection. Follow this registration tutorial for step-by-step instructions.

4. Set Up AppCard

The AppCard serves as your student photo ID card and is your all-access pass to campus. You'll use it to access university buildings, make payments for food purchases, health services, library resources, student discounts, and more. To set up your Mobile Appcard, follow the directions found on the AppCard section of our university webpage. App State alumni may continue using their existing AppCard. If you are an online student, the Mobile AppCard is not required, but we encourage you to set one up for proof that you are a university student and to gain access to discounts.

5. Register for Parking Permit

Once you are registered for classes, you may register for a parking permit through Parking and Transportation if you need to park a car on campus. For the 2026-2027 academic year, parking registration access for graduate students begins at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. The first three days of parking registration are open only to graduate students, but permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis - so be sure to take advantage of this registration window! Costs and additional information can be found at Parking and Transportation Student Parking

6. Complete Health Forms

Complete your health forms and show proof of insurance through Student Health Services. Online students may opt-in to student health services for an additional fee. Contact Student Accounts for more information.

Note: If you need to postpone your enrollment, please notify both the Graduate School and your program. If you do not register or request a deferral during the first 10 days of classes, your admission will be canceled and you will have to start the application process again.
