    About Me: I volunteer at OASIS, Inc. (Opposing Abuse with Service, Information, and Shelter) and I am the social chair for the Psychology Graduate Student Organization. My thesis explores how reappraising anxiety influences risk-taking behavior. In my free time I enjoy trying new recipes and going on hikes.

    About Me:  I love going to theme parks, especially Walt Disney World, with family and friends. I enjoy teaching, performing, and sharing all types of music. My research interests include music therapy with children on the autism spectrum.

    About Me:  My post graduate goal is to open a non-profit organization that will focus on rural community development with my first project to build a sustainable healing community in Lewisburg, West Virginia to bring aid to the children and families placed within the Foster Care System because of abuse and neglect caused by substance abuse.

I am grateful to serve as the Director of Admissions and Recruiting for the School of Graduate Studies. Sweet potatoes are at the top of my favorite food list and my world as I know it requires music. My life is centered around my beautiful wife, daughter, faith, family, food and cartoons!

    About Me: I came to ASU in 2003 as a faculty member in the Library Science program, served as the program director, and later served as the chair of the Department of Leadership and Educational Studies. I currently serve as the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies. My wife, Amy, also works here at the university as the Director of Conference and Camp Services. We have a daughter, Caitlin (13), and a Rat Terrier, Chipper. In my freetime, I like to hike and am a drummer in a local band.

After my time at Appalachian I will be moving on to a PhD program in Political Science.

    About Me: I own a Golden Doodle named Jelly. My research is focused on using a bioassay to find a quantitative approach to identifying xenoestrogens, a class of compounds that mimic natural hormones causing a host of physiological responses.
