Graduate Student Appreciation Week to be held April 1-5

In 1993, three students, Tony Rosati (Georgetown University), Gina Pearson (American University) & Anne Holt (Florida State University), all activists within NAGPS, wanted to find a way to physically manifest support and appreciation of the contributions, impact and value of graduate students. Their effort led to a cooperative initiative called National Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week.

App State is proud to support our graduate & professional students and all the wonderful contributions they bring to our wider communities!

2024 Grad Student Appreciation Week

April 1st - April 5th

We encourage students, faculty, and staff - both on campus and online - to come up with their own ways to celebrate App State graduate and professional students. Whether it's coffee and snacks breaks with your program, faculty and student lunch celebrations, donuts with the Dean, Zoom social hours, or media campaigns - a little goes a long way in building community and celebrating grad & professional student contributions!
