Fund for Enhancing the Graduate Student Experience
We believe our graduate students deserve support to excel at App State in their learning, research, and service. This fund supports student fellowships and scholarships, provides financial support for research-related materials and travel, and allows us to recognize outstanding student performance.
Judith and Floyd Domer Research Award
Research and professional development are essential components of the graduate experience. Named for former Dean of Graduate Studies Judith Domer, this award was established to provide assistance for thesis research and scholarly activities expenses or for travel expenses incurred by graduate students who wish to attend a conference to present their research.
Creating a Fund
We would be very happy to talk to you about the needs of our outstanding graduate students and faculty. Some areas of critical need include:
- tuition scholarships to increase diversity in the graduate student body, including out-of-state, international, under-represented, and lower socioeconomic students
- awards to recognize outstanding achievement of our students, including top thesis and dissertation awards, outstanding service to the state and region through internships and practica, etc.
- awards to recognize outstanding achievement of our faculty, including mentoring graduate students, conducting innovative research, etc.
