Political Science (MA)

The Master of Arts Degree in Political Science is designed to prepare persons for careers in a variety of public and private settings, and to prepare students for further graduate work at the doctoral level. In today's expanding economy many individuals find it beneficial, or even necessary, to obtain an advanced degree in order to achieve career goals.

Nutrition - Dietetics (MS)

Program Highlights:

  • The program requires completion of either 39 credit hours with or without a thesis.
  • Research (NUT 5901 or NUT 5999) is conducted in the summer between the two years of the program.
  • The Dietetic Internship meets the competencies as mandated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.

Music Therapy (MMT)

The Master of Music Therapy degree program is designed to broaden music therapy knowledge and skills, particularly in areas of advanced practice, while also permitting deepening of expertise in the student's chosen area of clinical practice. This program is for the board-certified or board-eligible music therapist who seeks to broaden and deepen her/his competence in music therapy.

Music Performance (MM)

The Music Performance degree programs offer the student opportunities to refine his/her performance skills through applied study, classroom instruction, ensemble experiences, and public recitals. This program is for the student who desires a course of study in advanced instrumental or vocal performance, or composition.

Program Highlights:

Mathematics (MA)

This program is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a rigorous graduate program in mathematics with the added benefit of gaining hands-on training and experience with teaching. It can qualify students for advanced teacher licensure in high school mathematics, prepare students for community college teaching positions, or serve as excellent preparation for doctoral programs in mathematics or mathematics education.

Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Human Resource Management (MA)

The interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Human Resource Management offers a unique program operated jointly by the Psychology and Management Departments. It requires courses in both departments.
