The University Writing Center is seeking a full-time graduate student to serve as a writing consultant during the Spring 2026 semester. Writing consultants assist students in one-to-one appointments in the writing center, attend staff meetings, engage in professional development activities, and assist writing center staff with ongoing projects. The stipend is $5,000 for a 20-hour-per-week assistantship or $2,500 for a 10-hour-per-week assistantship ($16.66 per hour). To apply, send a letter of interest, academic writing sample, and a current resume with three references listed to Dr. Beth Carroll, Writing Center Director, at carrollel@appstate.edu.
