This Graduate Assistant (GA) position for the James Center for Student Success & Advising works towards the mission to recruit, advise, provide professional development, and retain teacher education majors during their tenure at Appalachian State to ensure success for a career in education. The James Center staff members are collectively responsible for programs and services that foster community, student success, and inclusive excellence.
This is a 4 month position requiring 20 hours per week. The Graduate Assistant is primarily responsible for supporting student engagement, programming, data collection, and the marketing of residential learning communities (RLCs) as well as student events and programs sponsored by the James Center for Student Success & Advising.
