Graduate School Position for Spring 2026, with potential for renewal.
10hrs per week with an hourly wage of $16.50, with a total stipend of $2,475 for the spring semester.

The Reich College of Education is seeking a graduate student to work in our college-wide Media Production Lab. Qualified applicants should have experience or interest in one or more of the following areas: checkout software systems, equipment organization, and staff leadership. As a Media Lab Graduate Assistant, you will assist in the management and operations of our facility, which serves as a vibrant hub of learning and creativity for the college and broader university community. RCOE Media Lab Graduate Assistant Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Media Lab equipment and resources.
- Organize and maintain resources within our equipment storage room and studio spaces.
- Manage existing resources within the inventory system in Web Checkout Software.
- Input newly acquired equipment to the inventory system within Web Checkout Software.
- Facilitate the creation of the Media Lab work schedule for undergraduate student workers
- Send out requests for students to share their work availability.
- Analyze spreadsheets with student work availability.
- Assist in the creation of and dissemination of semesterly and exam week student work schedules.
- Assist in training newly hired student workers in how to perform the following tasks.
- Checking out and returning equipment in WebCheckout software.
- Identifying appropriate equipment that meets the needs of patrons.
- Locating and organizing equipment within our equipment storage room.
- Training staff on how to operate our technology resources available for checkout.
- Fill in for Checkout Desk Operators as needed.
- Answer phones and communicate with patrons (students, faculty, and staff) to answer questions about resources available for checkout through the Media Lab and checkout policies and procedures.
- Check-in/out equipment to Media Lab patrons.
Qualifications:
- Graduate Student Status: Currently enrolled in any full-time (9 credit hours per semester) graduate degree program. Position involves in-person and on-campus work.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret and synthesize information.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Initiative and Independence: Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Willingness to take initiative and contribute ideas to organizational structure.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Apps, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
