Sustainability & Energy Management is searching for a passionate student to join our team and assist with strategic planning efforts within the office. This is a part-time position designed to support Appalachian State University's Climate Action Plan. This will include investigation, research, and data analysis toward strategic future planning.

Primary responsibilities would include:

• Collaboration with Staff to collect and analyze data associated with the STARS (Sustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating System) report.
• Work with Staff to identify goals and opportunities to strengthen climate action as the new Climate Action Plan is being developed.
• Collaboration with Staff to research and develop a proposal for carbon offsetting opportunities across campus.
• Other projects that might be generated through this work
• Assist with programs and events hosted by Sustainability and Energy Management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and enrollment in an App State Graduate Degree Program
• Must be flexible in schedule in order to work student events
