Description:
Dr. Peijuan Cao and Dr. Rong Zhang are seeking a dedicated Graduate Research Assistant to join their research team for a project funded by the GRAM Program. The project involves conducting a systematic review of existing research on literacy instructional practices that support multilingual learners in grades K–5.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be enrolled as a full-time graduate student (9 credit hours) in the upcoming semesters
- Background knowledge in K-5 literacy instruction, with a particular interest in multilingual learners' literacy development.
- Be good in academic standing (preference given to those with a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.5)
- Professional writing and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Quantitative data analysis skills or systematic review research experience
- Background knowledge in culturally responsive pedagogy
- Literacy-related teaching or research experience
Position Details
- Compensation: $14,000 for the academic year
- Time Commitment: 20 hours per week
- Collaborate closely with Drs. Cao and Zhang on all aspects of the project
- Engage in professional development focused on literacy research methods
- Opportunities to participate in conference presentations and co-author publications
