10-Hour/Week Graduate Research Assistantship

Position Overview:
I am looking for a graduate student to assist me with ongoing research projects. My research primarily explores rural Latinx students' access to four-year universities, their transition to college life, sense of belonging, and persistence through college completion. I specifically examine the intersections of rurality and race and their impact on college enrollment and retention. Tasks for this position will include conducting literature reviews, creating annotated bibliographies, organizing qualitative data, and assisting with manuscript preparation. All responsibilities can be completed remotely and asynchronously; however, we will have regular virtual meetings to collaborate and discuss progress. There will be opportunities to collaboratively design projects and co-author manuscripts, making this position suitable for graduate students interested in qualitative research methodologies, educational equity, and scholarly publication.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
● Knowledgeable about or willing to learn APA format
● Organized and capable of independent work
● Detail oriented
● Communicative
● Able to meet regularly via Zoom
● Strong writing/editing skills
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience organizing and managing data
● Experience with qualitative data
● Experience writing annotated bibliographies and/or literature reviews
● Interest in writing for publication
● Fluent/Proficient in Spanish (preferred but not required, as some qualitative data may be in Spanish)
Position Details
Start Date: August 18, 2025
Compensation: $16.50/hour
10 hours per week during the academic year (August 18 -December 15 and January 12 - May 15)
