Position Overview:
This graduate assistant position will provide research support for Dr. Chauntee Thrill, Assistant Professor and Program Director in the Higher Education program. My research focuses on college student experiences, instructional practices, and STEM. Assistance will be needed with literature reviews, data collection and analysis, and manuscript preparation. Opportunities to co-design projects and co-author manuscripts are available. All work will be completed remotely with regular synchronous meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with research-oriented tasks such as IRB proposal development, literature reviews, data collection, analysis, and interpretation
• Manage multiple tasks related to project(s) to ensure deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently.
• Regularly meet and communicate with faculty member to provide project updates

Required Qualifications:

• Enrolled full time (9+ credit hours per semester) as a graduate student throughout the term of employment
• Ability to consistently work 10 hours per week to fulfill position responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
• Initiative and Independence
• Some research experience is desired but not required

Position Details:
Start Date: August 18, 2025
Compensation: $16.50/hour
10 hours per week during the academic year (August 18 -December 15 and January 12 - May 15)
