The Office of Relocation and Dual Career Assistance (RDCA) seeks a part-time (10 hours per week) or full-time (20 hours per week) for the Summer 2023 semester. It may be possible for the student to continue in this role during subsequent terms.

The Graduate Assistant position will provide general administrative, research, and communications support to RDCA, as well as the collection of data on initiatives including attainable housing, affordable childcare, and work-life initiatives on college and university campuses. All current Appalachian State graduate students are eligible to apply. This GA will share a workspace in the Human Resources Building, with opportunities to work remotely. The position comes with a stipend of $15.00/hour.

Job Functions:

  • Researching opportunities for grant funding
  • Collecting, analyzing, and organizing data
  • Assisting faculty, staff, and visitors and providing appropriate resources
  • Provide administrative assistance to RDCA staff
  • General office duties as needed

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency with Google Applications/Microsoft Office (specifically Word/Google Docs, Excel/ Google Sheets, Google Forms, Google Calendar, and others)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management & organizational skills
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn the Pivot database
