Future Teachers of North Carolina Event Coordinator

The Reich College of Education (RCOE) will be hosting the Future Teachers of North Carolina (FTNC24) event on May 3 and 4, 2024. This position will work closely with the Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Program Services and other project leaders to coordinate this event.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Administrative oversight of key aspects of planning and execution of event
  • Registrant verification and communication
  • Event schedule development
  • Participant resource coordination and packaging
  • Registrant name badge creation and distribution
  • Coordination of signage and room location assignments with RCOE Team
  • Event resource development and creation
  • Coordination and scheduling of group leaders and mentors
  • Monitor FTNC24 email account
  • Meet regularly with the FTNC24 planning team
  • Assist with project completion and reporting
  • Must attend and assist at the FTNC24 event
  • Other duties required to support FTNC24 event

Term, Compensation and Hours
Spring Semester 2024 (responsibilities through May 10, 2024)
Salary: $20/hour
20 hours, average per week
Hours per week may vary based on responsibilities and may increase as event dates approach

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a graduate student at Appalachian State University;
  • Enrolled in a Boone campus (in-person) graduate program;
  • Ability to work 20 hours per week (in-person w/ some virtual opportunities) to fulfill position responsibilities;
  • Evening and weekend work will be required leading up to and during the dates of the event.
