MCL Department is one of the five departments in the Reich College of Education, offering programs that prepare students for employment in a wide variety of teaching, administrative and service roles, as well as employment or career advancement in business and industry. The MCL Department is searching for applicants to fill a Graduate Assistant position. A successful applicant will have the opportunity to collaborate with faculty members on various academic and administrative projects.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative support: Assist faculty and staff with administrative duties to support individual and group projects and to support the goals of the department.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other graduate students, research assistants, and staff members to support the overall goals of the department.
- Program Support: Collaborate with program faculty on developing materials to organize course information, web-based content, testimonials and/or student news, and other concerns related to coordination and promotions of programs.
- Project Management: Managing multiple projects simultaneously to ensure deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently.
- Communication: Regularly communicating with faculty members to provide project updates and address any issues or concerns.
- Assisting Faculty Members: Providing support in course and research tasks.
- Documentation: Maintaining records and assisting faculty in preparing reports and presentations for conferences and publications.
Qualifications:
- Graduate Student Status: Currently enrolled full-time (9 credit hours per semester) in a relevant graduate degree program. Position is available either in person or online.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret and synthesize information from diverse sources.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate complex ideas and findings to a diverse audience.
- Initiative and Independence: Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Willingness to take initiative and contribute ideas to research projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Continuation of Graduate Assistantship in next academic year for the right candidate.
