The CASSH Office serves as a primary contact point for academic advising support for students, faculty and staff for the College of Arts and Sciences. As the largest degree granting college at App State, the unit is consistently fast-paced and highly communicative. We are looking for two graduate students to join our team to work 20 hours per week ($16.67 per hour - up to $5,000 per semester) for the Spring 2025 semester with potential for renewal in future semesters.
Primary responsibilities:
- Primary point of contact for in office visitors and telephone calls
- New Major processing
- Change of Program processing
- Electronic file system maintenance and archiving
- Special projects as assigned by the Director and Assistant Director
Preferred skills and attributes:
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Passion, enthusiasm, and energy to assist our student population and college constituents
These positions are open to all graduate degree seeking students with a particular interest in Higher Education. Previous programs sought by our former graduate students include: MA Higher Education, MA Marriage and Family Therapy, and MA Professional School Counseling, among others.
