Accelerated Master's Eligibility

App State students interested in the Accelerated Master's program should speak to the graduate program's director to determine eligibility for the proposed graduate program and the Accelerated Master's Program.

Eligible students for the Accelerated Master's Program are those who:

  • Are enrolled as an undergraduate student at Appalachian State University with at least 24 credit hours of undergraduate coursework completed at App State, and with a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA. (Note that some programs may have higher minimum GPA requirements; see table below.)
  • Are ready to enter their final year of enrollment in their undergraduate degree program here at App State, with 90 hours completed by the end of the application semester. (Applications from students not yet at 90 hours will be held until the end of the term.)
