The Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership (EDL) in the Reich College of Education seeks a part-time (10 hours per week) Graduate Assistant (GA) for 10 weeks during the Summer 2024 semester (with continuation possible for following semesters). The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

The Doctoral Program GA will support the operations of the Doctoral team and students in the College of Education. An ideal GA will be organized, have strong communication skills, able to work well with others, and work efficiently while on a deadline.

Eligibility Requirements:
Summer GAs must be degree-seeking graduate students and enrolled in at least 2 semester hours of graduate coursework at the main campus in Boone. Students in their first term of enrollment must be unconditionally admitted (i.e., not provisional) and returning students must be in good standing (3.0 GPA and no failing grades). There are no exceptions to these requirements except for
GTFAs, who are not required to enroll in summer hours if assigned as the instructor of record for a summer course.

Priority responsibilities:

  • Personable and professional demeanor while interacting with graduate students, faculty, staff, and the general public
  • Assist with cataloging/archiving program library and dissertations
  • Attend and help facilitate designated events
  • Assist with website updates and creating informational documents
  • Assist with creating and updating new AsULearn Projects pages
  • Update and monitor information for newly admitted students
  • Assist with hooding ceremony
  • Assist with other tasks, as needed, for the Doctoral Program
